The Planning Supervisor
The role of the Planning
Supervisor derives from the 1994 Construction [Design & Management]
Regulations. This requires those commissioning most non-domestic
projects (other than those of short duration) to appoint a Planning
Supervisor, a consultant whose role it is to ensure that the design
of a project is considered so that it can be constructed without
undue risk to its builders. It is a legal requirement for clients
to appoint a Planning Supervisor where works fall within the full
scope of the 'CDM' Regulations, and it is a criminal offence to
fail to do so.
We are able to fulfill
the role of Planning Supervisor, co-ordinating risk assessments
during the design stages, producing the Pre-tender Health &
Safety Plan, and co-ordinating the production of the Building
Manuals on completion of the project.
We can advise if your project
is likely to require the appointment of a Planning Supervisor,
and quote for providing these services.
